My path to becoming a plastic surgeon started as a child growing up as one of two sons that frequently accompanied my father to hospitals on weekends to round on patients.
I knew from an early age that I would one day become a physician. After finishing medical school I completed my General Surgery Residency training in various hospitals in New Jersey and New York City, including the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, working alongside some of the leading cancer surgeons in the country. Despite caring for a full range of patients in every capacity from Trauma to Intensive Care to outpatient surgeries, it was always the cases with the Plastic Surgeons I trained with that got me the most excited.

Pearce Plastic Surgery is a specialist medical practice serving patients in Sacramento, California, with a foundation built on long-standing dedication to surgical care and patient service. The surgeon’s path began early, accompanying a father who worked in hospitals, which helped shape a lifelong commitment to becoming a physician. After completing medical school, training continued through a General Surgery Residency across multiple hospitals in New Jersey and New York City, including time at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. There, experience working alongside leading cancer surgeons helped develop a strong surgical perspective across a wide range of patient needs, including trauma care, intensive care, and outpatient surgery. While providing care in every capacity, the most lasting enthusiasm has come from the plastic surgery cases encountered during specialized training with Plastic Surgeons—an interest that continues to guide the practice today.
